Cow and Bull Auction 6/10/2013

Receipts:  328    Last Week:  483    Last Year:  537

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 3.00-5.00 lower and slaughter
bulls sold 3.00-4.00 lower. The offering included a heavy supply of slaughter
bulls and several cull dairy cows. There was a very light supply of both bred
cows and cow/calf pairs. Most of the sale ring seats were unoccupied today as
producers are busy cutting hay, some trying to get it harvested before the
army worms do their harvesting. Supply was light and demand light to moderate
for slaughter classes.

most 90.50-105.50, black indiv. 110.50; 3-7 yrs 835-1135 lbs 74.50-
86.00.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  6 yr 3rd stage 1220 lb indiv. 1300.00,
2nd stage pkg. 2 yr 938 lbs 950.00, 1st stage 5 yr 1050 lb indiv. 1010.00;
short and solid mouth to aged 2nd stage 1105-1185 lbs 910.00-975.00. Large
1-2  6 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and 3rd stage 1375-1475 lbs 1165.00-
1400.00. Medium 1-2  2-4 yrs 2nd stage 970-980 lbs 800.00-900.00; short and
solid mouth 2nd and 3rd stage couple 885-960 lbs 730.00-750.00 per head.

   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2  3 yr 1070 lb cow w/160 lb calf
1500.00; short and solid mouth 1300 lb cow w/baby calf 1160.00. Medium 1-2
broken mouth 1020 lb cow w/new born calf 810.00. Small 1-2 2 yr 690 lb cow
w/baby calf 950.00 per pair.
